I seriously doubt I will remember to follow Kevin Drum’s rules of elision, though he’s now made it much easier for me to do so. I had been trying to infer them from his posts for a while. On request, he explained them. I may stick with my one-size-fits-all “[…]”, though I find sensible his argument for not bothering with things like [t]his. [O]r this.
