The problem with touch screens is that they don’t play nice with hand lotion. The winter does not play nice with hands that don’t play with hand lotion. The choice between painfully dry hands and a painfully greasy touch screen is painfully hard.
I guess you could call this a problem with winter, or with hand lotion (or, for that matter, with hands), but all those were here first. So, touch screens get the blame. And yet, I have reached the point where I do not want to live without them. Nor do I want to live without hands. I could live without winter, but not in Boston, which is where I prefer to live.

Speaking of touch screens, is anyone tracking instances of cold/flu/pink eye amongst touch screen users?

Try “Corn Huskers Lotion”
It’s glycerin based, no grease or oil… works well.

I’m looking forward to when smartphones all have Kinect sensors in them, and you don’t even have to touch the screen.

Hand-e-glove is supposed to play nice with touch screens. I haven’t tried it, though.
