A press release is not enough

Below is a video of me, Adrianna, and Nicholas trying to convince an audience of (mostly) researchers at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation to use social media to promote the scholarly work we all do. “A press release is not enough” was the title of the seminar.

The end of my talk includes an answer to the question people ask me most often: How much time do I spend blogging? Watch the video to find out. (Hint: The question and my answer are at the 27 minute mark. Hint 2: That link takes you right to that spot in the video.)

At the 48 minute mark, Nicholas begins to make what I think is an impressive case that what we’ve done at TIE makes a difference. That he mentioned the three sentence rule made my day. Watch that, if nothing else.
