• A first lesson in econometrics (humor!)

    John Siegfried “simplifies” 1+1=2. The work is 42 years old, but is still as relevant and insightful as ever. It does not get cited enough. (H/t @brettkeller)

    • Somehow the fact that there is an error makes the thing even better.

      • In fact, there are two errors ;O)

        • The two errors do not change the result as the evaluation of the limit is zero and the natural log of zero is still 1. Intereseting though.

          • Well, the limit goes to zero, but log(0) is not defined! Of course you can define that log(0) should be minus infinity, but then the LHS and RHS do not match!
