After the Health Care Cases, Red States now have an option out of the Medicaid expansion. But the Court didn’t say exactly what provisions were included. For example, what about the Maintenance of Effort (MOE) provision that locked in some optional coverage expansions until 2014?
Apparently, the Congressional Research Service (CRS) released a memo this week saying the MOE isn’t affected (so reports Kaiser Health News, citing 3 sources behind paywalls).
But we can’t read the report, paid for with your tax dollars, because CRS still doesn’t release any of its materials online. Recently the IOM started making its reports easier to get for free online. Time for CRS to follow suit.
