Technical problems

A quick note that:

  1. The server on which TIE’s pages reside at HostGator has been intermittently under some kind of attack. If you have trouble accessing TIE, that’s why. Until we decide to leave HostGator (which we haven’t yet), there’s nothing we can do but encourage them to fight the good fight.
  2. Google’s Feedburner, which delivers the content of this blog via email and RSS, is also not functioning well. At the moment, this doesn’t seeem to be problematic for readers, but if it gets worse, it may become so. There are alternatives to Feedburner, but, like leaving HostGator, switching involves transaction costs and uncertainty we’re not sure we should take on yet.

All in all, it’s been a crappy week, technically speaking. Bear with us.
