Sound Medicine: Healthcare Reform and the Midterm Elections

Sound Medicine is a radio show produced by the Indiana University School of Medicine and WFYI Public Radio.  In the last few years, I’ve become their go-to guy on health policy.  So, for those of you who would find your day brightened by the sound of my voice, enjoy the following.

It’s been about six months since the big healthcare reform package was signed into law by President Obama.

And even though many provisions of the law aren’t scheduled to take effect for another few years, it’s become the focus of a lot of mid-term election campaigning.

Joining Barbara Lewis to discuss the prospects for healthcare reform in this environment is Sound Medicine’s Dr. Aaron Carroll. Carroll says that despite public unhappiness with the legislation, he’s optimistic remains optimistic about the specific entitlements mandated by the law.
