Please help me learn new things!

I have decided that I want to dedicate a significant amount of time this year to learning more about topics I know little about. Ideally, I’d like to identify twelve topics – one for each month. I will commit to reading at least two, and perhaps more, books on every subject.

To that end, what would you suggest I learn about? I’m open to ANYTHING. Music, art, science, math, food, religion – you name it. Please help! You can comment here with your suggestions, or let me know on Twitter!
