I think there’s a real lack of understanding by many about what should be taken seriously and what should be taken with a mountain of salt and/or completely ignored for all but entertainment value. Guess which category I think the Hamilton College class project is in? For that matter, guess which category I think pundit prognostication in general is in? In fact, the world is full of noise with very little sound data analysis of important questions, let alone funding for such things.
