Now that Newt Gingrich is the GOP front runner, I’d really like to know his precise, detailed vision for Medicare. On Medicare, his website reads only,
Create more choices in Medicare by giving seniors the option to choose, on a voluntary basis, a more personal system in the private sector with greater options for better care. This would create price competition to lower costs.
That could mean so many things that it is close to meaningless. Anyone aware of more detail than that?

How about giving seniors the full range of options open to non-seniors, including Health Savings Accounts (which I would make Roth accounts, BTW). Offer risk-adjusted premium support equal to Medicare’s expected cost.

Newt was a lobbyist in the health field for years. He really should have something more detailed available.

This is Gingrich’s latest:

He seems to be endorsing Ryan’s version of premium support.
