A new study out in the Annals of Internal Medicine reports on the demographics associated with the methods and mortality rates of suicide cases in the United States between 2007 and 2014. Though firearms are used in only a small number of suicide attempts, they are significantly more lethal than other methods. Understanding the demographics associated with specific methods could help save lives.
