Sound Medicine is a radio show produced by the Indiana University School of Medicine and WFYI Public Radio. In the last few years, I’ve become their go-to guy on health policy. So, for those of you who would find your day brightened by the sound of my voice, enjoy the following:
In a 5-4 majority ruling on the morning of June 28, the Supreme Court revealed their decision to uphold the provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), including the controversial individual mandate clause. Guests Gregory Pemberton, attorney with Ice Miller, Beth Meyerson, assistant professor of health policy and management in the School of Health Education and Recreation at IU Bloomington, and Aaron Carroll M.D., MS, director of the Center of Health Policy and Professionalism Research at Indiana University School of Medicine join moderator and host Barbara Lewis to discuss the repercussions of this monumental decision and the future direction of our nation’s healthcare system.
There’s also a longer podcast that goes into more detail. If you’d like to listen to that, you can download it here.
