We really have come a long way. And yet, there is still much we could do. This is worth watching.

It is odd that we are seem to me to be much more concerned with getting health care to all Americans, that will maybe increase their life expectancy a year or two than we give attention to people in those lagging countries.
I give most of my charity to works outside the USA because it seems to yield more there. Food, water, shelter, clothing and vaccinations for all humans seems like a profitable thing to concentrate on.
I like to take vacations but sometimes I feel guilty, thinking I could have given more to provide food, water, shelter, clothing and vaccinations for the earths real poor. Makes me see that I am a selfish person.
What did Adam Smith say about how little concern we have about thousands of people dying in China.

Thank you so much for sharing this incredible video. I was blown away by the data presentation, and profoundly affected by the story it tells. Leaving Africa behind is a tragedy of our times.

Too bad the video doesn’t encourage users to take the next step to explore the data themselves at http://www.gapminder.org/ – that I learned about here on TIE – Thanks Austin!
